Besides being the PGM of Humanitas Group, Gabriel Liiceanu (b. 1942) is a well-known essayist, author of philosophical-literary diaries, translator of Plato and Heidegger; and a respected university teacher Liiceanu's distinctive style of writing is to combine philological studies of philosophy with systematic incursions into the realm of literature. His books have been translated into French, English, Swedish, Hungarian and Polish.
