Bibendum is the symbol of the Michelin brand and has been its standard bearer all over the world since 1898.
He is a strong brand differentiator and, as such, he became the Michelin's ambassador, mediator and spokesman in all fields of communication. He strongly contributed to the increasing of the brand's awareness also in Romania, disseminating the messages regarding Michelin's values and mission of improving mobility.
Bibendum acts in communication as a mind-opener; he is the one who looks at things from a different angle and challenges received ideas.
His enduring popularity, his presence among his audience and the spirit that has always been his driving force led him to be voted the Century's Best Symbol in 2000 (panel convened by the Financial Times).
